Keep at it - it just takes time - you can hijack most of the Hunter
instruments for the interior.

And if anyone wants real instruments there seem to be an awful lot of
Hunter instruments on ebay at the moment - most likely due to the
changes in the regulations covering flourescent paint. :-(

Another stupid EU regulation?

Sounds like it - a friend at south yorkshire air museum was telling me that lots of museums are having to dump stuff because the regs make it totally impractical to keep them. The only loophole is for clocks and watches (so you can strap it to your wrist, but not put it in a display case or cockpit).

As he said - extensive studies of people who spent upwards of 8 hours at a time sitting in front of such instruments has shown that they're losing teeth and hair, their remaining hair is turning grey, they have mobility problems, and some are dropping dead. Oddly enough the same can also be said of the control group.

Yet more pointless regulation to protect us from nothing.

If anyone finds themself near Doncaster though I can highly recommend south yorkshire air museum - they've got a lot of cockpits there, and I think there's always a few open so you can get in and have a really good look and take some nice pics.
