Hi Piccavalo,

By all means that is not what I meant to imply. If you do find something not
right, have ideas for improvements, etc. etc., you are mostly welcome to
voice these. Especially, the user list is intended both for communication
between FlightGear users among each other on the one hand, and between users
and developers on the other hand. In general, if you voice your opinion in a
constructive manner, we/I will certainly listen, and we'll actually consider
that a contribution to the project. However, being a group of volunteers, we
can't guarantee that your idea will be implemented, so this the part where
actively contributing will definitely raise the number of listening ears and
appreciation for your work. :-)

My comment was specifically aimed at one frequent poster on this list, Arnt
Karlsen, who's postings, in my opinion, don't meet the criterion of being
constructive. As a poster, he is active on both FlightGear-Users and
FlightGear devel, for at least five years now, and in my opinion the majority
of his postings are either irrelevant, off-topic, or incomprehensible. On top
of that, sometimes they're just offensively loaded with politically incorrect
sentiment.

In a case like this, I don't see a reason anymore to listen to this person's
opinion, unless he can substantiate what he's writing by actually providing
something that is useful.

Hope this clarifies things a bit.

Cheers,
Durk
