Well, in the context, no. Had the information been correct *and*
actually applied to the situation, it would have been a different case.
As it stands though, Arnt didn't bother to find out who actually was the
author of the plane (easy to do) and went off on a completely irrelevant
 and in my eyes offensive rant.

The point that I think Durk (and many others in the past) was trying to
make is that in Arnt's case, the information is rarely useful. People
who have a few commits under their belts tend to get the occasional
unpolitic remark overlooked, but those who spend most of their time
criticizing and none of it making concrete contributions tend to wear
out their welcome.

This is a sentiment that I have heard voiced many times, on both lists
and IRC as well as in face to face conversations with various other
contributers (who all, I might point out, have a solid body of work in
CVS to point to.) This is not the first time we have had this conversation.

In other words, your input is welcome.
