Spot on, Bibek! I am sure where the discussion was leading earlier,
but let's think in positive terms. The big question is how to make the
community sustainable, what we can do for its continuity, how to get
more people involved -> THE WAY AHEAD. I've always believed that it
should not depend on an individual or a group of individuals, although
it does revolve around certain group of people. Individuals come for
their own purpose and go (for whatever reason/interest they had come
for!), but the community must remain, it must be self-running. The
show must go on no matter who leaves on the half-way. What we must
also remember: Easier said than done! The community members must come
forward themselves, contribute and be counted. No one would stop them
from doing anything, but we must show them how they could contribute.
Most of the time, what's happening is lots of people show interest in
doing something, but when it's time to deliver, lot of them don't even
show up! Therein lies the biggest problem!! Maybe our weakness as
well!

Now to come to the point, we must develop a mechanism by which the
current members as well as the new potential ones could contribute. As
per my chats with Bibek and Dadhiram, I would like to propose the
following teams/working groups:

1. Web Team (needs to be revamped big time!) - KU
2. Artwork Team - Abhishek
3. College Coordination Committee
4. Admin/Finance Team - Dadhiram
5. Curriculum Team
6. LTSP Team - Pulchowk/KU
7. Technical (mostly Linux-related) team
8. Localization - Ankur
9. FKK - Pulchowk Campus (Jitendra)
10. Newsletter - Pulchowk Campus
11. Nirvikalpa - Prabin/Suraj/NCIT College
12. Prasfutan - Bibek Paudel
13. Media/PR
14. Coordination/Planning

This is just a rough idea that came to our minds and has been in our
thoughts for quite a long time. Each team/group will have a Team
Lead/Co-Lead (optional) and all of them would be in the Overall
Coordination Team. Let us discuss on it in more detail in the days to
come and come up with a conclusion as to how we could make the
community going. Whoever is interested in whichever group/team, please
come forward, get involved, take responsibility and contribute in
whatever way you can.

Regarding Training Center at Brihaspati, let's hear from Shishir and
others who are preparing a concept note. One more important thing
that's coming in my mind is how we could get the community members
from outside Kathmandu valley. Let's brainstorm! I know they could get
involved in some/all of the above teams, but let's be more specific.
Tushar, what's your take on this? Can we have something like
dharan.fossnepal.org or fossnepal.org/dharan or something like that so
that they could directly get involved with the site and other
activities in the near future? Just a thought...

Cheers,
Subir
