I don't want more argue with you, if you insist you're correct.
But Jack did give his "true heart" advise to some people, to avoid
using FDXMS and HIMEM, not because of the author, just because of they
both have programming flaw!
You don't know about "programming flaws"; you only mirror what Mr. Ellis
posts to you without a clear understanding of the content or
applicability. Basically you are scanning the list and any problem report
which mentions a startup CONFIG with memory managers or any HIMEM or EMM386
style memory manager version, you now hop in-topic to try and sell your
preferred product. I strongly object to that behavior.
The biggest strength of open source projects is collaborative input on
problems and development. It is not finding a purported bug or bugs to
taunt other developers and announcing one has privately created a much
better closed-source solution. Actually, that wouldn't be so bad, as it
would be another of the sort of daily open source sideshows -- a few of
which are entertaining. What is not acceptable is refusing to post details
about the errors one claims to have found so they can be identified and
fixed in an open source version. Bugs as private trophies, phooey.
Honestly, I don't think everyone involved here can help how they act. But
you can. You choose not to, which, frankly, I believe makes you a willful
agent of damage to FreeDOS.
Incidentally, if you have any remaining links or references to me on your
site, I ask you remove them at your earliest convenience. And if you wish
to repost abusive e-mails or list messages concerning me, I further ask you
limit them to one -- two at most if the concentrated vitriol cannot be
safely contained in one -- to conserve the other list members' reading time.
