I don't have the setup to compare for myself -- but it seems there must be *some* sort of sacrifice... Is the quality significantly better with ffmpeg, or is the other program simply that much more efficient? (I'm recalling when I used to encode everything in mpeg-1 because I only had macintosh computers... There were several options for encoding into MPG, but it was always choosing quality or speed. Is this different now? Or is the difference insignificant?) -Shawn -- Shawn Powers Technology Director Inland Lakes Schools 231-238-6868 x174 http://techcorner.inland.k12.mi.us ------------------------------------------------------- This SF.Net email is sponsored by: INetU Attention Web Developers & Consultants: Become An INetU Hosting Partner.
