It struck me yesterday that such an arrangement would also be lowering
your risk of injury.

I think a warning sticker should come on laptops:

This product poses a significant risk of injury to hands, wrist, neck,
eye if used more than 2 hours daily.
Products rates on a scale from 1 to 10 (higher is more risky) -
Desktop 2, Tablet 4, laptop 7, netbook 10.
