As good as the Pismo is, it may be time to start thinking about a
replacement. Titanium G4 Powerbooks are getting cheap these days and
you can even start to get really good deals on aluminum models now.
That the Pismo has managed to remain relatively up to date compared to
other G3 Powerbooks is a testament to it's design, but the design is
still old and there are much more powerful technologies available for
little money so keeping it going as anything but a backup machine
makes little sense. I'm still attached to my Wallstreet but concede
that I could have much better for an affordable price and accumulating
Wallstreet parts for the inevitable day when something breaks is going
to be wasting money.
