Actually, Novas (and later the Geo/Chevy Prizms) are
like Corollas, and come off the same assembly line in
San Fran.

The upshot of this is that whatever mechanism is
deemed to be the best by Maxtor will go in *all* of
the drives, which is fine with me. I have had good
experiences with both Maxtor (IDE) and Quantum (SCSI)
drives.
