Sorry, can't help you.  Mine does *exactly* the same thing.  I'm 
awaiting a fresh legal copy of Jag.  If *that* doesn't work, it's 
1-800-SOS-APPL. Beige G-3 is a "supported" machine. They can damned 
well support it! There is no logical reason that it won't install. My 
machine is exactly like when it left Cupertino.
