If you happen to have boot start on a classic side of the OS, turn it
off, in fact remove it completely. I made the mistake of putting it on
when I first did the OS X.1 install on my G3 AIO. Once I pulled it off,
and redid the drive I found out I really didn't classic and could in
fact only install X. Look at your control panels in classic aka OS
9.2.2. Now If I have spoken and didn't see that you don't have OS 9.2.2
I am sorry, had to take some meds for arthritis and it has me a little
muddled.
