I am an ex-apple RD & D employee and I've been a fully certified Apple tech
since 1991. That's 12 years (since you want to pull up histories) and I beg
to differ. Especially with version 3-5. Remember when Symantec had to pull
it off the shelves for a couple of months because it was killing drives back
in 1996-7?

>Some drives are so bad off it may be Norton that "seems" to kill them, but it
usually simply a coincidence.

I don't want to argue *symantecs* with you here. ;-)
My point is that even if a drive is not functioning properly a piece of util
software shouldn't send it over the edge. Diskwarrior never does that.

>I think it should be a part of your software troubleshooting toolkit.

As I stated earlier...it is. I only use it as a last resort, and it almost
never does anything good.

>Disk Warrior is by far the best piece of troubleshooting software made for Mac.

Agreed. Everyone should own it.
