Thankfully, I already own a good one :)  When I was looking at the solder pads,
some of them were raised off the board, possibly part of the trace, or something
added during the manufacturing process to give the joints better connectons.
Anyways, I'm going to try and desolder it tomorrow night.

Thanks for that info.  If I can't get it from one of the local shops, 
I'll give these guys a ring.

The schematic would be wonderful!  Once the flyback is out, I will test the 
other components.  I'm wondering how to test IC501.  I'll google the part
number and see if I can find some info on it, but if I can't, I might just
wing it and hope that it works.  But, I'll deal with that when I get there.

Thanks again Steve.  You've been more than helpful.  Hopefully, if things
work out in the end, I will try to write up a howto for this repair along
with pictures.
