I am confused about one thing though. The link you posted has a selling price of $60 and the url is

The one I found on OWC which was originally linked from deal mac is $65.99 and the link is below.

I have not bought anything from OWC before. The lowest price for what appears to be the same item is $60 and there is something in the URL path about maillist for the $60 that you posted. Is there a G-list discount that I am not aware of or is there some other trick to navigating the OWC site to get the best deal? I am thinking about ordering some RAM with the drive and do not want to miss out on any additional savings.
I also wanted to say how much I enjoyed your personal web page. The G3 bay conversion was very cool. I have a great deal of admiration and respect for any man that is willing to take a sawsall and a sandblaster to a PowerMac to make it work the way he wants it to!!!!!

You _can_ stuff a second optical into a B&W (eg: <http://mywebpages.comcast.net/macdan/nekkid_g3.html>), but I think the AGP G4s would be problematic as the larger heat sink would probably get in the way.
