Hi tom. While I understand technically the point of converting to C++ is a good idea in the long run, sinse ms support for the format is likely to be long lasting, I'd personaly love to see more titles from usa games asap.
Most people, ---- me included, are stil able to run games using the ms net framework. while this situation as you've indicated may change in the future, I can't help thinking that spending all that time converting the games now would be a bit like emperor ciesar building Hadrian's wall to keep the scots out of Britanicus before he'd even invaded the country. I'm always in favour of being prepared, but imho this would be a case of over preparation. I really liked what I've seen of toomb hunter thus far, and would very much like to see more. Btw, I suspect by the time that running current net framework based games becomes a major issue in windows, someone will come up with some kind of alternative, ---- as has already happened with dosbox, --- or maybe Microsoft will release some sort of fixes to make vista compatible with direct X (sinse I don't imagine they will be very popular if all direct X and net developers have to spend years converting their software over to C++ or similar). appologies if this is talking a load of rubbish, it was just my thought. Beware the Grue! (who probably works for microsfot).
