The thing is, though, mud clients for the mac isn't used as much; soundpacks, for example, are lacking.
I would really like one, I could still use windows on it.

Ummm...There are accessible mud clients for Mac OS. One that comes to mind is called Zoom. Plus you can use the default Mac OS telnet client in a pinch.
