Hi Phil.

Well I've not really looked into file editing ssinse my r09 just is click and record once set. I must confess though, I really don't hold what I did in that podcast to be serious reviews, sinse if i were reviewing those three games properly I'd want to spend perhaps half an hour to an hour on each, sinse it' just not possible to explain a game like entombed or time of conflict briefly, ---- and Mota's mechanics with the various weapons, items and switches would need some more time too.

this did however force me to work out a speaker placement that I can use to reccord in sterrio. This has been the main obstacle to me doing reviews. When i recorded bg hearts etc, I was in colidge, and thus my speakers were already close together. Now however, they're quite a distance apart and I wasn't sure how to get round this or where to put them.

When however Barry asked me to put this together, I knew I'd have to give it a go, and sinse it seemed to work out pretty well I'm more inclined to try doing it again, and perhaps do more extensive reviews.

Beware the grue!

Dark.

Hi Dark,
I enjoyed your review of the three games.
It would be great if you could cut it up and add the three reviews to the audio games site. As for SAPI mispronouncing things, I use SAPI to speak a lot of text in the Sarah game. I use trial and error on the spelling of strange words until I get it to pronounce the words correctly, then I record the result. With a game that uses SAPI that is not possible, but the developer could include a pronunciation dictionary text file of all the unusual words that the player could edit and adjust to make the words sound better.
For example ,
Dumbledore, Dumble door
