Hi tom.

I was simply going on the basis that in audio, your obviously not going to see much of the actual barrel movement, just have to recalculate as your character gets to the ramps, and if this is all the player will have to do, why worry about the rest when simply a bit of extra sspeed would do as well?

i suppose I am just naturally lazy, even when thinking out game programming problems ;D.

Look at something like judgement day. liam could've added air resistance, vectors of flight, falling wreckage, damaged vehicles, heck, realistically I'm not even sure if you could! take out 30 hellicopters and planes by shooting a machine gun into the air, but obviously sinse it was an arcade game hhe just stuck to space invaders point and shoot sinse that was what he was aiming for, ---- ha ha.

That's my point about donkey kong, but again, as you said it's again probably a case of thinking of things from the perspective of a programmer actually creating a virtual environment, and of a player who only gets to experience that environment through the medium of whatever actions they can perform in a game.

Beware the Grue!

Dark.
