Hi Jim.

I've always used that method on mastermind games previously, sinse it seems the most streight forward and can quickly determine when a set has none of a particular number.

I'll try 1 1 2 2 as well myself for variety next time I play, for the variety.

I think though ultimately, the method you use doesn't really matter so long as you have enough logic to interpret the results according to what numbers you put in and what stays the same.
