I play on my netbook, using my touchpad. Honestly, I haven't tried it with a normal mouse yet. Still, I love it, and I'm glad to have tried the new method.
Thanks for being a jerk, man. As for accuracy, it depends on your playing style. I'm trying not to go crazy with characters, but currently I have three, with 65%, 45%, and 40% respectively. The 65% is me actually playing as me, meaning I never, ever shoot without thinking I'd hit, because it attracts zombies and makes me unsure of what's going on for a second.
