Hi Kory,

        Yes - it's always on - I checked the router this morning and it had an
uptime of about 300Hrs while the modem showed 90Hrs since the last DSL
setup.  I have the box set to reconnect whenever the connection is
dropped so I can SSH into the home systems from work anytime.

        For the record, this is ADSL - I get about 1.2Mb/s incomming but only
20kb/s outgoing which is really fine for what they are selling it for -
especially since I can remember my first network connection over a 110
baud modem ...

        You may be able to get the DSL modem to do the whole firewall/NAT/DHCP
thing (they are getting better all the time) - but I'd be very happy to
exchange the router for beer to whoever :-))
