This presentation/vie layer stuff is a popular topic. Rumor is that JSR 127 (JS Faces) could allow for emitting of http://www.w3.org/TR/xforms/ and do all rendering on browser via JavaScript, if I understood right, thus of loading processing, but there is a spec to interpret, you know where.
