At the time I had the type of cap on the header that had the wire protrude thru the top of the cap. I noticed when I got in this position I got some fuel out of the cap at the time it was sputtering I lowered the nose and everything back to normal. I tried this several times with same results. I changed to the cap with the plastic tube with the sight gauge in it and no more problems. I can only guess that the cork or and fuel was blocking the vent and stopped the fuel flow.
