It was in the earlier days of the Ercoupe, however in the 50s and 60s
everyone wanted it disabled, so they could apply carb heat their self.
There was a linkage between the throttle and carb heat to do this. It
would be removed and then the pilot had to apply heat him/herself.
See Leslie you and the other ladies were not forgotten.
