Coupes originally came with such an interconnect. In the overwhelming
majority, they were removed.

I've heard reports of one or two planes that still have them. If you
look under the cowling, and the carb heat linkage moves when you
close the throttle, that would be a major hint that yours was one of 
the rare examples :-)
