i think I would look at the fuel pump first. Ercoupes are fed (at least at the engine) by gravity. The fuel pump only serves to lift fuel from the wings to the headers (unless you have the 30-gallon mod, in which case you have two fuel pumps, electrical and mechanical, like other low-wing planes).
