I guess a lot would depend on your training, Bob.  I trained in Cessnas,
and 
my CFI made me do tons of flap-less landings, so it wasn't too bad of a 
transition to the 'Coupe for me.  He said he'd seen flap motors die enough

times that he didn't want anybody dependent on them.

That said, I still think my 'Coupe taught me more about pitch, airspeed,
and 
flying a good, clean final than any Cessna.  If you've got 40 degrees of 
flaps at your disposal, you can salvage some not-so-nice approaches.
