I didn't know that asking a question would produce so many paternal
lectures. First its I must be doing something illegal, then its trying
to invalidate the question or my purpose. I know you must read a lot
of threads so this could be oversights, but in all cases i've
previously stated reasonably why i'm asking the question and provided
the needed information. I've already stated i'm cornered into this
question. Also, i've stated I know how to use those other techniques
so don't you think I would if I could? I don't want to waste your
time (or mine) and unnecessarily send this thread into many
directions, (KISS), by explaining the gory details of the situation.
I'm sure you've heard of frames, i'm sure you've heard of
Greasemonkey, and i could add a few other issues i'm dealing with such
that the other methods won't work right now or start to get hacky and
would probably break in various cases. Google Static Maps was invented
for very good reason, and i'm using it for the most part very
successfully.

I just had one question - and I will bet hamburgers it is a valid and
true method of some deeper mapping coordinates/geo understanding.
Google has documents written about differnet kinds of coordinate
conversions but I just can't figure out what is going on with this one
and what they are doing.

Again, I appreciate that you guys respond, but at this point if
someone doesn't have the specific understanding of the method used for
the URL on those static map images, lets just wait it out and see if
anyone comes along who does. I may try other forums too. This is not
a high priority part of my project so i'll just move on without it for
now. Thanks again.
