Are you seriously suggesting that - installing Interbase + Java + Argus on a computer - running the Argus GUI on that computer (after installing licensing file etc.) in order to complete installation - backing up the database on that computer in "portable" mode (because the architecture of the server coputer might be different) - restoring the database on the server - cleaning up the "setup" computer (which might take longer than the previous steps) is easier and takes less time than simply typing isql-fb server:/path/to/Argus.gdb -u SYSDBA -p <password> -i ArgusMetadata.txt which is just a single line entered in a few seconds and takes all but a few seconds to complete? Which one is easier-peasier, as you say? Horst _______________________________________________ Gpcg_talk mailing list [email protected] http://ozdocit.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/gpcg_talk
