Ah gosh Tim. Although I would have put it differently, he did say
it with a wink! I think Host can give as good as he gets. :-)
I can understand Andrews' frustration when on one hand he is regaled
with GPs imploring him to make installations simpler than pressing a
toilet flush and a few on the other hand asking for greater
complexity. However give Andrew credit, he always listens to points
well made and he has already agreed to address Horst's concerns.
No question about it, if you want GPs to use it, it had better be as
easy as a toaster, unless you want to send people on-site for free to
do the installs (like path labs do).
I met a GP recently from a non-computerised practice 4 doctor
practice! So there are still GPs out there who would rather die or
retire than learn to use a computer.
Anything that's harder than a toaster ends up in the lap of the
resident "tech-head" GP, which is a rather thankless job unless one
lives on the Edmund Hillary adrenaline rush. Single click install
with no intervention would be fantastic.
