Look forward to it Andrew In the past I have had fun talking department of Veterans dirty laundry exercise down a peg or two for demanding clinical details from reception staff with DVA online and Mr Abbott over his current 50 million per annum gift to the banks for the efpos swipe care process when we can clearly gap bill at no cost.
Wish I joined your forum a long time ago after reviewing the recent prolific posts. My background is large scale data analysis on banks and similar size clients or the navy if you want to chat about really old computers some time or may favorite topic 'Benford's law' some time. My interests is more aligned to your forum than the political discussions on Gap billing I am involved in at present. Medical Software is very immature and over due for a shake up (could read wake up of course)- LOL. I have just instigated a large scale software review which will be some what unique in that I hope to eliminate the strong bias long term users tend to display when asked about their software platform. My goal is to push or pull developments needed to make software a tool to assist not obstruct clinical work of doctors and staff- I plan to have some fun while doing it. When it gets published I think expect a few people to be embarrassed enough to make some development occur. I suspect industry consolidation will come fairly quickly as things develop and mature.
