Another slack NZ company maybe :)
There are actually a lot of hard working and dedicated people working
in that company. However, looking back, I see I have had no useful
contributions to make on this list, so I guess I don't need to keep
reading this stuff in the hopes of ever contributing in the future.
Unsubscribing now.
Dear Les,
Although I read messages on this list with avid interest, I took little
notice of the message that offended you. I don't remember who wrote it
and I'm not going to look it up to find out.
I can sympathise with the frustrations expressed by Fee and others with
whatever problems they are having with their software. All of us have
problems and frustrations with whichever software package we are using.
It is natural that now and then if a user's or group of users
frustration gets to a certain level they will have an outburst and want
to tell other people about it.
Not being a Medtech user, I haven't followed the details of the
complaints listed in the open letter and related messages. Do you
believe that Medtech has responded appropriately to those users who
became frustrated enough to write their open letter?
Somebody else (Andrew Shrosbee, I think) has already made the point that
most if not all of the staff at every software vendor are doing their
best to provide a good product and to support it well. I think that
Andrew may have been saying that when things go wrong, we should
remember that 80% of the cause is in the system and not with the person
or people who happen to be involved.
I believe that we benefit a lot from having software vendors and
developers participating in this list, to remind us during our dreaming
of a better future what is possible to achieve in the real world and at
what cost.
I hope that you will re-subscribe to the list.
