Dear all, I commented on the thread because i am a person who has benefitted a lot from the videos that were brought out by IIT. My take on the thing was " the fact that it is on the internet and anyone can access it and educate himself is awesome. Such sharing of knowledge should be encouraged and fostered".
After reading through the whole discussion, though I feel that ( after Afthab pointed it out ) indeed, no text has absolute meaning... Meaning and knowledge are historically and socially constructed, and thus the invocation of chants from a religious, brahminical text ( or for that matter, any religious text ) shouldn't have been there. I stand corrected. Regards, Ashik --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Green Youth Movement" group.
