Many people in the community feel like you do, myself included. As you wrote elsewhere, I too am tired of this topic; not only is “AI” destroying the commons and taking the joy out of hacking, it’s also colonizing our mental space. Yet, I think that now is the time to stick together, as Olivier writes. The future is yet to be written and I, for one, don’t want to give up. The small victories, including in everything around Guix (Codeberg, Guile, the Shepherd, GCC, and more) are reasons to hope. It shows that we free software people have agency and can shape a different future. Ludo’.
