Chapter 13 starts with a lecture on officership, then the 
action starts again. At this time Rico wears a command 
suit.

* The suits provide substantial radiation protection.
* Radiation detector with directional and omnidirectional
  modes. 
* Rockets lack IFF.
* Helmet range finder, no comment on the principle.
* Unrefueled suit endurance is well below 40 hours.
* Seismic detectors are not integral to the suits. 
* "Reconnaissance" may be patched from a platoon leader 
  to the fleet flagship. Audio or full data?
* Scout and command suits are twice as fast as a marauder.
* One suit has "radio & radar" failure. That takes it out 
  of action.
* In a situation too close for flamers and bombs, they use
  hands and feet.

Then there is the utility air car. While not directly 
relevant, it might help to nail the TL down ...
