that.

Though overall i would consider SG a setting, where how things are
supposed to look trumps internal consistency.

That is one of the points I made to Mike re RPG settings. A RPG needs
internal logic so players can understand the GM. Plenty of precedents
from the media can overcome some of that, if everybody has seen the
same episodes.

You can get away with some inconsistencies, either if you have cooperative players and well communicated genre conventions, or if the inconsistency is outside of the scope of what the players can infulence. Like sure what the players can come up with would be more logical equipment, but the pcs will not spend an eternity arguing that point in the right comitees.

In any case it is important that the GM reflects on what the basis of his setting should be (and that being the looks is not neccessarily wrong) and what are corollaries, and communicates that to the players at the right time.

I use both segway and chariot loosely here, so a segway would be a
horseless chariot. As Goa'uld vehicle it should look more like a chariot,
then a segway, but i guess that would be beyond the scope of Vehicles.

The Segway has contragrav, ducted fans, power cell, and a "harness"
crew station. The harness option also covers things like skis, so it
could arguably be a Segway.

The chariot also has contragrav, ducted fans, and a power cell, but
it has multiple exposed standing rooms.

I would build a segway with a single exposed standing room and use harness only for jet packs and similiar. I have way less experience with Vehicles though, so i might miss some precedents.
