Considering that you guys (Valve) test the bejezzus out of everything you release - some complained that you may have even *over* play tested Portal 2 before release - such as the TF2 beta, CSS beta and other programs, I'm a little shocked that you would release such a project unannounced that you obviously knew was going to be controversial.
Where was your Beta Test Czar when you guys planned this out? You must have tied and gaged him in the closet when the meeting about this project occured :) I know Valve has the best interests of the player/customer and community at heart in releasing this feature, but as ambitious and good-hearted as this project is, I think you might want to have a meeting with the Beta Test Czar before you move forward any further on this project.
