Not sure if this is related or not but we've recently re-installed the saxton hale plugin and he keeps coming up as a big red ERROR. I've tried setting sv_pure to 1, 2 and 0 but with no luck. The files are definately available on the FTP. We've deleted files on our local drive and the client side is set to download all files.
It then occured to me that not all players were seeing the big red ERROR. These people were either quite new to TF2 or don't play as often. This is also the first time I've played this mod on this computer. Is this the same bug? While I'm on the subject of mods, we also downloaded the dodgeball mod. Would anyone know how to change the max players on the arena maps? At the moment you can only play max 7 on each side and the rest have to be in the 'waiting' cue. I'd like to change it so if we have a full server, everyone can play at the same time and not be put into 'waiting'. I know I'm gonna see error models when it redownloads all the files. If you say are using a blacklist to prevent players from using a loud decloak noise, it will still make a loud noise... just corrupted. The workaround I use is to use "allow_from_disk+check_crc" instead of "from_steam" but this kicks players if they have a modified file, and it adds more overhead allegedly (which is not a problem since I only blacklist a selective few files... but still).
