Not sure if this is related or not but we've recently re-installed the saxton
hale plugin and he keeps coming up as a big red ERROR. I've tried setting
sv_pure to 1, 2 and 0 but with no luck. The files are definately available on
the FTP. We've deleted files on our local drive and the client side is set to
download all files.

It then occured to me that not all players were seeing the big red ERROR. These
people were either quite new to TF2 or don't play as often. This is also the
first time I've played this mod on this computer.

Is this the same bug?

While I'm on the subject of mods, we also downloaded the dodgeball mod. Would
anyone know how to change the max players on the arena maps? At the moment you
can only play max 7 on each side and the rest have to be in the 'waiting' cue.
I'd like to change it so if we have a full server, everyone can play at the
same time and not be put into 'waiting'.

Kind Regards

annarack

Yea, its very annoying to see skins and sound files being redownloaded as well.
I know I'm gonna see error models when it redownloads all the files.

This has driven us insane as well for quite some time.

This bug is a huge annoyance for my community, where we run mostly custom

Worse, custom sounds that are replaced are glitching up too. If you say are
using a blacklist to prevent players from using a loud decloak noise, it will
still make a loud noise... just corrupted. The workaround I use is to use
"allow_from_disk+check_crc" instead of "from_steam" but this kicks players if
they have a modified file, and it adds more overhead allegedly (which is not a
problem since I only blacklist a selective few files... but still).

I guess he is referring to this:
1) join a server with sv_pure 1 or 2
2) join another server with custom models and sv_pure 0 (or sv_pure 1 and a
proper whitelist)
3) enjoy seeing ERROR models everywhere
Only workaround is restarting CSS/TF2

This is a very old bug and has not yet been fixed. There have been many topics
posted here but Valve has yet to acknowledge this issue.
Has anyone found a solution to this?
