This. I don't know why people keep making up their own alternate version of history. People were abusing fake players long before advertising was even a thing. And even after advertising was completely erased from quickplay, people still abused it. And they will continue abusing even if the motd became completely disabled. > Because MOTDs are actually useful for things other than ads. This ship has already sailed. Quickplay players are 100% guaranteed not to see an ad.
