I am wondering what experiences other list subscribers have had working with a configuration such as this. I use FreeBSD 4.10. Does hlds_l / srcds_i686 utilize dual CPU technology, and if so, what impact will adding a second CPU have on CPU cycles? I've heard that it won't double your processing power. Also, what are other main hardware component requirements that will allow me to maximize my processor usage? 800Mhz Front-side BUS, 2 GB RAM as opposed to 1 GB.
