Maybe it might end up being similar to the way TF2 quickplay registered
servers are, just more restricted.

A Counter-Strike game where matchmaking is the focus us of play without any
community servers will be interesting.
It's a perfect thing for hackers. Already they go on Valve's TF2 servers to
wreak havoc, this will be even more fun.

Also due to crossplatform play, how will VAC work on the PS3? It probably
won't. So will this allow modded PS3 players to hack freely before some
detection? Probably.
This also has the awesome benefit of bringing hackers from the PC/MAC to
annoy PS3 players as well.

The focus is on 5vs5 for the game and it's matchmaking. But there are custom
servers on the PC which allow higher player counts (does not say how many).
