Yes, you can create unranked servers if you are a in the EA trusted
partner program... and thats pointless.
The abillity to host unranked is still there, and is being continued with BF3
(info was released somewhere last few days).
The difference here is, with EA you can at least rent ranked servers(Never thought I'd
name that as a Pre, cause I hate EA's way of doing business and always praised VALVe in
their continues community support). From the lines below I make up that there won't be
any community controlled/administrated "ranked/official/whatever" servers.

well, its normal, they cant control plugins in dedicated servers and
fake statistics. Also, EA has a "trusted partner program" and ONLY allow
ranked servers, used to allow unranked in bf2,bf2142 but not anymore. To
become ea trusted partner is a hell and they ignore almost any request.
I just read something very dissapointing, something I am not used to from
VALVe. VALVe going EA (ranked/unranked) server style?
CS:GO will permit hosting your own servers, however they won't be included in
the matchmaking system. Only servers from VALVe itself will be included (thus
draw all taffic).

Whats the CS:GO server requirements? The cpu usage is like a tf2 server?
Any news about the CS:GO dedicated server beta release date(i heard
somewhere its in october)?
The engine(the one in portal 2?) will still use only one core in a
dedicated server?
