I've had mixed results with tech support on all vendors. I've also had excellent results with tech support as well. What I mean is that support is sometimes the luck of the draw. It depends on who you get when you call/email/fax... I guess the companies figure that tech support is one of the easiest things to cut. But, as you stated, these are the areas that customers can easily get annoyed to the point of refusing to buy vendor X's products. It would seem that tech support, if implemented properly, could keep customer loyal for some time to come. It just depends on what a company considers more important, making more profit or making more (and continued) sales. I see that you had run into problems with someone's web site, and received errors stating that the page could not be found. I had this problem as well when looking for support information on the DJ130 very recently. It seemed that I couldn't find much of anything on the printer, leading me to think that they stopped supporting the printer, giving us the "subtle hint!" I checked again just before and saw that the support pages for the DJ130 were again OK! I was starting to get annoyed for nothing...
