no you can't. because between the camera and Hugin there are lots of step you don't control. This kind of expectation is what gives software the reputation of being for techies only. If you want Hugin to "just work", it should make no assumption at all. If EXIF data is available, then go with your "expectation" (though it would make sense to validate it). If EXIF data is not available, treat the images as just bitmaps with unknown FoV. Detect CPs and zero in on the FoV (which actually is only really relevant for full 360°). Yuv
