FYI, I created a program that follows the JACK transport and sends out
appropriate MIDI clock messages:

It doesn't do the reverse, though. And it's not alpha, either. It's
stable. However, I recommend you use the current Git version -- since it
has support for START/STOP/CONTINUE.
