It appears that the designers have learned well from experience.  I
enthusiastically await the day when the bar is erased and programmers
can code entirely RMODE(64), oblivious to any antiquated 31-bit
and 24-bit constraints.  (Yes; imagine 64-bit addressability to PARM.)
