Sure. No system programmers, no system programmer salaries to pay.
What you're left with is "guy off the street following scripts" support
when something goes wrong, and the only recourse is to call the vendor for
premium support service.
Corporations win with less money going to the employee; vendors win by
providing more premium support services.
