Just watched the video "Zowe Overview" (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NX20ZMRoTtk). Looks promising! I notice the demo runs from a Mac, and I believe some of the commands are run from the Mac terminal shell. Is there any dependency on a Unix-like shell on the client? Or does it work just as well from Windows?

Really good points and I agree. 3270 will never go away and like most power users they will use the tool that makes them the most effective. The desktop serves as a means to engage people with familiar workflows and behavior as well as providing better visualization than you can achieve with 3270. The other main benefit I didn’t mention is that with federating data from multiple services we can start breaking proprietary silos by allowing people to build new systems mgmt and user interfaces via services. Early days and a lot of work ahead but I’m optimistic we’ll move z/os forward faster using Zowe as a tool with these goals in mind Matt Hogstrom +1 (919) 656-0564 > On Jan 6, 2019, at 22:45, Phil Smith III <li...@akphs.com> wrote: > > Thanks, Matt.
