ObAnecdote: many years ago, a sysprog friend goes into the data center for something, notices a message on the (VM) operator's console:
[BACKUPPRODUCTNAME] will expire in 15 days! He points to it, politely asking a question that no doubt included several four-letter words. Operator's response: "It always says that". Um, no, just for the last couple of weeks.
