Susan, Yes, thats true. The protective boots that are used in the show ring are only on for an hour(or less) and then removed and if I have been following the conversation correctly, its the boots in the show ring that are being put to the critical question of either gait manipulation or potential damage to the legs bc of the weight(which apparently is less than these boots)...thats what I was wondering about with the boas,old macs,easy boots. It doesn't make sense to me in terms of the weight issue. Ashley
